How do I join a server?

Open the Servers page and press Copy on the server you want. In Rust, press F1 at the main menu to open the console, paste the line with Ctrl+V and press Enter. Every server has its own line, and the page shows it in full.

Why isn't the server in my server browser?

The in-game list can be slow to show a modded server, and its filters may hide it. The console line always works. You can also add the server to your favourites in Steam: View, Game Servers, Favorites, and add the address of the server.

What are bats?

Bats are shop credit for MoonRaid. You earn them in game and spend them on this website, on ranks and resources for the server you play on. They have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn and cannot be moved from one player to another. At the moment they cannot be bought.

How do I earn bats?

Collect batteries in game, type /exchange and put them into the window. Each battery turns into bats at the rate of that day of the wipe, and the rate grows as the wipe goes on. The Bats page shows every day of the week and has a calculator. New accounts get a one-time welcome bonus of 25 bats, at the first sign-in with Steam or the first exchange.

What is Day 1? Why is the exchange locked?

Day 1 is the day the wipe happens. On a locked day the exchange is closed so that the start of a wipe stays fair: keep your batteries and hand them in on a day that pays. The Bats page shows which days are locked and what a battery is worth on each of the others.

How do I get what I bought?

Purchases are delivered in game, on the server you bought them for. Join it, type /claim and click the picture of your purchase. A rank starts counting when you take it. Until you take it, the purchase waits in your /claim basket and does not expire at a wipe.

My purchase did not arrive. What now?

Join the server it was bought for and type /claim. Your Wallet lists your open orders and History shows what happened to each order. An order that could not be delivered is returned to your wallet as bats by itself. If none of this helps, contact us (Discord) and include your Steam name and the order number.

Do bats carry over to the next wipe?

Yes. Bats belong to your account, not to a server, so a wipe does not touch them. What starts again is the exchange rate: it begins from Day 1 on every wipe. Things you bought are tied to the server you bought them for.

Can I buy bats with real money?

Not at the moment. Everything in the shop can be earned in game, so there is nothing you have to pay for. If buying ever opens, this page and the Terms will say so first.

Is this official Rust?

No. MoonRaid is an unofficial community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Facepunch Studios or Valve. Rust is a trademark of Facepunch Studios Ltd.

Why do I sign in with Steam?

It is the only way to know which player you are. The sign-in happens on steamcommunity.com, on Steam's own page. We receive your public Steam ID and your Steam name, never your password or your e-mail address.

When is the next wipe?

Every server card on the Servers page shows the time of the next wipe and a countdown to it.
